Dr. Scholl's® For Her Ball of Foot

Dr. Scholl's® For Her Ball of Foot inserts where a product that I'd seen in the store and considered buying, but that I never actually did purchase. When I saw that I'd received them in my Something Blue Voxbox I was particularly happy that I'd have the chance to test them. I decided to try them in my pointy black pumps, which look very nice, but are basically like wearing two small torture chambers on your feet. Despite the suffering they induce, I decided to wear them to a work event where I would be on my feet for about 5 hours, so anything that could possibly help to relieve the inevitable pain was something I was willing to try.

The Dr. Scholl's® For Her Ball of Foot inserts were very easy to attach to my shoes and I did not have any problems with them peeling off or moving around in my shoe while I wore them. I ran into a bit of trouble because my pointy heels were already fairly tight and adding the inserts made it even harder to cram my feet into them. Once I eventually got them on it took a little getting used to, because I could feel the inserts on the balls of my feet, but since they were cushy, they felt kind of nice. After walking around in my heels for hours, my feet were still pretty sore and I had some small blisters on the tops of my feet from the rubbing due to the tightness. The balls of my feet felt fine, so I would assume that if I wore these inserts with slightly looser shoes they would work very well.

I have not tried to take the inserts out of my pumps yet, so I don't know if they are reusable, but I would like to try them in a different pair of shoes and see how they feel.

Overall, I would recommend using this product as long as your shoes aren't too tight!

Luster NOW! Instant Whitening Toothpaste

The product that I have used most since receiving my Something Blue Voxbox from +Influenster is my Luster NOW! Instant Whitening Toothpaste. I have used it to brush my teeth every day since receiving my voxbox. My teeth were fairly white prior to receiving this toothpaste, so I haven't noticed a dramatic difference in whiteness, but they do seem somewhat whiter. They look especially bright right after brushing.

I honestly think this is one of the best tasting mint toothpastes that I have tried. It has a nice, mild mint flavor, unlike some other toothpastes that have such a powerful mint taste they burn my mouth. I also like that Luster NOW! foams well while I'm brushing. It makes me feel like it's really working its way into all the crevices.

I've used white strips before and they're a huge hassle and make my teeth hurt. It's nice to know that there's an alternative whitening method that will get your teeth white for less time, pain, and money!

Q-tips® Precision Tips Review

I recently received a bunch of awesome goodies in the Something Blue VoxBox sent to me by +Influenster. One of the first items I tested out was Q-tips® Precision Tips. I have used the Q-tips brand for ages, but I had never tried out the Precision Tips product until now. Unlike the traditional cotton swab, the Precision Tips have tapered tips at both ends. This design makes it easy to apply touch ups to makeup or clean up excess polish when doing a manicure or pedicure. It's also great for cleaning tight spaces.

I decided to try out the Precision Tips while painting my toe nails to look nice for my first anniversary dinner with my husband. Since I am not the most graceful or accurate of self pedicurists, I always need to have some cotton swabs and paper towels on hand when nail polish is involved. The Precision Tips worked perfectly to catch the extra polish that worked its way onto the side of my toe... okay... toes. I also liked that unlike some of the generic cotton swabs, the cotton tips stayed compact, rather than getting fluffy and leaving tiny bits of cotton stuck to my nails.

Overall, I was very satisfied with Q-tips® Precision Tips and at a price of $2.49 for a 170 count pack, I would be willing to purchase these in the future. For more information on Q-tips products, feel free to take a look at their website: http://www.qtips.com/.
